Reverend Dick and Judy Miller believe in miracles! They believe God to see things happen! We believe that together we can help others who are temporarily in need of assistance and can benefit from our ministry. Our slogan is "Feeding the Multitude on Faith and a Few Loaves and Fishes." We have thought about this ministry for years, but only recently we decided to "get out of the boat" and get things done. Our Lord is able to do abundantly above all that we say or ask! He only asks that we go into all the world and minister His Word. With Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry we have begun to do just that! "[Jesus] Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and …they all ate and were satisfied." (Matthew 14:19,20; Mark 6:41,42; Luke 9:16,17)

THANKSGIVING FOOD DISTRIBUTION DATE ANNOUNCED

THANKSGIVING FOOD DISTRIBUTION DATE

We have tentatively set the date for our
Thanksgiving Food Distribution for

Saturday, November 19th at 1:00 PM
until food is given out.

We will give the food out on a first come, first served basis. If you know of a shut-in who needs food, please let us know. We will try to deliver to those who have no possible way to get to us.
Once again, our mission is to provide a week's worth of groceries to those in need during these difficult economic times.

Thanks and God bless!

FOOD IS BEGINNING TO ARRIVE! THANKS SO MUCH!

We just want to let everyone know that we have begun to collect food donations here at our home, which for now will be the place for distribution, unless the Lord provides otherwise. We have lots of ideas, but they have not come to pass yet.

We are still working on the date for Thanksgiving Distribution and will post it online as well as in the newspaper as soon as we can. If we gather enough, we will pass food out earlier than our Thanksgiving distribution.

We have posted some of the kinds of foods that we would love to be able to collect for our "Food Distribution Typical Bag"; as our program expands, our goal is to have these items on hand so we can distribute regularly.

As you can see, we are planning to give out nutritional foods, including meats, when we are able to do so.
As you look over the list posted yesterday, you will see that we need, pasta, rice, sauce, spam, corned beef, beef stew, vegetables, soup (large cans and small cans), canned fruit, boxed cereal, cake mixes, puddings, powdered milk, tuna, toilet paper, bread, baby food, deodorant, shampoos, soaps etc.

Thanksgiving provides another chance to gather and distribute foods of a different kind. Just imagine what you would love to have on Thanksgiving. Possible ideas are: cranberries, instant potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, fruit, jello, corn, peas, green beans, soup, dry milk, stuffing, and desserts of all kinds. Refrigeration is available.

Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry Update

God is Good!

First of all we want to thank those who have contributed to Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry already! We have only just begun. Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry is on the prayer lists of many as we begin this journey together.

We say, together, as there is no way possible that a few families can get this job done by themselves, short of divine intervention.

We have been busy preparing flyers, brochures, business cards and other items that we will need to get the word out about our ministry. We plan to leave flyers at various businesses and organizations that might be able to help us with food collections and/or distribution. We plan to attend the event, "COSBY TENT REVIVAL"  the first week of October at the Cosby Visitor's Center. We will have a table prepared with handouts at that event. We feel it is the perfect time to get the word out about this ministry and at the same time hear the message that the Lord has for us in Cocke County.

Our first major Food Distribution will be for Thanksgiving; however, we may distribute earlier if the funds and food allow.

We need help in stocking our pantry.

You may send donations by Paypal at loavesandfishesfoodministy@gmail.com  or by clicking on "Donate" on this website, or you may send a check to:  Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry, c/o Reverend Dick Miller, 120 Cheyene Circle, Cosby, TN 37722.  Remember, we are tax deductible and will send you a receipt for your donation.

Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry is now formed as a non-profit religious corporation in the State of Tennessee. You may find it online by doing a search of the businesses in the Secretary of State's office. Type in Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry or Fellowship of Faith Ministries, Ltd to find us. We first started as an unincorporated religious ministry; however, we felt the need to incorporate as it allows us more flexibility in doing the Lord's work.

We are beginning to form our Board of Directors and  will be adding a few more soon as we grow. If you would be interested in joining us in this endeavor, please let us know. We welcome you expertise in various areas.

We will be posting some of our posters, brochures etc. soon.

God bless you all!

Reverend Dick and Judy Miller
